Mrinal Sen gets D.Litt

Veteran filmmaker Mrinal Sen has been awarded the honorary D.Litt in the recently held annual convocation of Calcutta University, for his exceptional contribution to cinema. The honorary doctorate (D. Litt ) was handed over to Mrinal by the Governor of West Bengal. Speaking on the occasion, Mrinal Sen said that though he feels honored, he does not like being called Dr. Sen. He deseve this honour.
